The Neva collection has been introduced in 2013. with the Neva chair. Since then it has been one of the brand's best selling collections, and has evolved with new products year by year. In 2014. we designed the Neva Light chair, which has been presented at the IMM Cologne in January 2015 as a prototype, and introduced into production at the end of 2015.
The modern production methods allowed the classic wooden joints to be reinforced just in the right places, keeping the chair as light as possible, but stil stable and functional.
The Neva Light chair is following the design language of the Neva chair. Our goal was not just to remove the armrests; we wanted to create a chair that does have a basic connection to the Neva chair, but is by itself an expressive and eye-catching piece.
The chair is available in 6 different types of wood (oak, walnut, maple, elm, cherry and pear), with various natural finishes (oils and soaps). The seat can be ordered in solid wood, or upholstered with leather or fabric.
The chair is visually very light, deprived of all unneccessary elements. It is also stackable, which responds to the brief that this chair needs to be suitable for the use in bars and restaurants. It's lines evoque the memory of classic steam bent wooden chairs.
