Neva Chair by Regular Company – modern solid wood chair with sculptural, fluid lines

The Neva chair features sensual and fluid form expressed through soft, angular edges and transitions. Its tilted and arched backrest flows down into the armrests, creating one continuous line that descends into the front legs. Besides the ergonomics, its delicate surfaces invite for additional tactile exploration. Supremely thin and light, the line of Neva chairs reflects the technological process that created it, a combination of 5-axis CNC technology, as well as meticulous handfinishing of experienced craftsmen.

The Neva chair was designed in 2012 and has premiered at the IMM Cologne in January 2013. Ever since it has been the bestseller of the producer Artisan.

The wooden joints are reinforced just in the right places, keeping the chair as light as possible, but stil stable and functional.

The Neva chair is available in 6 different types of wood (oak, walnut, maple, elm, cherry and pear), with various natural finishes (oils and soaps). The seat can be ordered in solid wood, or upholstered with leather or fabric.

The Neva collection was greatly inspired by natural forms and the simplicity and elegance of wood in nature. Modern technologies such as cnc carving have made it possible for more complex forms to be introduced into serial production, and in the spirit of the Artisan company the production of the Neva collection is an elegant dance of modern technology and artisanal handcraft which are unavoidably overlapped.

The Neva chair has been featured in numerous international projects, including the Jean-Georges restaurant at the 4 seasons resort in Dubai by the three michellin starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and the Starbucks Reserve bar on La Brea avenue in LA.
